This is a fragrant, evocative red exemplifying Losada’s move towards a more aerial style of Mencía. The palate is elegant and savoury, with firm tannins but expressive nonetheless. A great effort towards finesse.
Losada has brought to the new Bierzo in a very easy-drinking style, from managed vineyards on more gentle slopes in which clay soils predominate, and is aged nine months in French oak and expresses the more tender and juicy side of the Mencía variety.
