Nautilus Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2024
Nautilus sits in the heart of the Marlborough wine country. What makes Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc distinctive starts with the stony old riverbed soils, long sunshine, and cold nights off the Pacific.
Most of the fruit comes from the estate’s own stony sites across the Wairau and Southern Valleys. Night harvest, cool ferment, five months on the lees.
The 2024 is taut and precise: grapefruit and white pear, a fine chalky line, lime through the middle, a whisper of cut grass on the finish.

Magnum of the Month
Château Camensac 2005, in magnum. A Haut-Médoc from one of Bordeaux’s great vintages, now comfortably mature. Dark plum, blackcurrant, and cedar on the nose, with cigar box, dried herbs, and the gravelly earth that marks the appellation.
In magnum, the wine ages more slowly, so this bottle is more complete and more harmonious than the standard format, with years still ahead of it. The one to open for a slow dinner and something off the grill.

Gai’a
Santorini is the spiritual home of Assyrtiko, volcanic soil, and ungrafted bush vines. The wines are aromatic, textured, and complex. Gai’a is arguably one of the best producers on the island and in Nemea, where Assyrtiko also flourishes.
Leon Karatsalos and Yiannis Paraskevopoulos founded the estate in 1994 with two cellars: one on a Santorini beach, one in the Nemea village of Koutsi. This Saturday we’re pouring 4 wines across both.
We’ll have the wines open this Saturday for you to try.
