Losares comes from their own vineyard dating from 1930, it is Olivier Riviere’s single-estate vineyard located in Navaridas, Rioja Alavesa, on sandy-lime soil 700 metres above sea level. The vineyard is planted in the old way, mixing varieties. In this vineyard, the Tempranillo dominates with 95%, and the rest is Mazuelo and Graciano.
The wine production begins with destemming the grape that is introduces to cement tansk where it ferments with its own yeast. The wine is decanted into 500 litre barrels where it is aged for months in order to polarise the tannins and round them off.
