93 points - James Suckling "An attractively fresh, juicy and spicy, purple-berry and plum nose with plenty of spicy, fragrant and fresh aromas. The palate has an impressively resolved, silky texture and bright, ripe dark-berry flavors"
Altos de Losada is a red wine produced by the bodega Losada Vinos de Finca in Bierzo. The winery is located in the municipality of Cacabelos (León). Altos de Losada is a single variety of Mencia, a variety from Northwest Spain. The grapes come from 21 small plots of old vines planted on clay slopes with different orientations.
For its preparation, Altos de Losada undergoes a traditional winemaking and is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
It is bottled unfiltered and we recommend decanting at least one hour before serving.
