Jean-Claude Raffaitin-Planchon and his son Antoine farm 25 acres in the small hamlet of Amigny. For years they mainly sold their grapes to more famous nearby wineries, but in 2016 Antoine, who showed a clear talent for winemaking, decided to cuvees from some of his best parcels of vineyard, and his efforts met immediate acceptance. His is a fruit-forward style of Sancerre with delightful melon, apple, and citrus aromas and flavors; there is a touch of minerality on the finish and good lively acidity to keep the wine perfectly balanced.
